The Summer Camp Season Has Ended

In my town, when school ends, it ends. Summer means the school is locked, there is no tutoring, no clubs and no immediate need for me, the PCV. This would be a horrible thing if it wasn’t for the very active camp culture that exists in Ukraine. Children here often spend weeks of their summer at rest camps, and the volunteers in Ukraine capitalize on this trend by running our own camps all over the country.

This summer I participated in 3 camps. Click the link to go to a summary of each camp.

Camp 1: InterCamp

Camp 2: Camp HEAL

Camp 3: Camp SLAM
